Auxiliary Transmission And Fuel Mileage

Just a heads up there are a 4 and 6 Series Fuller two speed and a 5831 auxiliary transmissions on E-bay. As I remember the 6 Series two speed is a little smaller than a 5831-X box. 2.30 and 1.93 under drive. Never seen a 4 series in person but the Spicer documents it is lighter duty. https://www.eba...

Re: When Will We Be Able To Post Photos To This Site???

I've asked the moderators this question off and on over the past few years. The last I heard was in 2017 or so "we are working on it". Anything we the members can do to help? The technical help is out of my skill set but I can donate funds to support it. What do you say? This question is ...

You can post pics to your album without a photo hosting website?
Folks have answers to posting photos but unfortunately they have nothing to do with the question of posting directly to the site.

Re: What Year Of Heater Core Is Close To A Slick?

Thank's, I'll look into it Monday. My Spectra core was only in for 2 or so years till it started leaking. Of course this happens just before we leave for a 9 hour trip. Seems someone had one from a latter year that was close enough to work in a jam.

What Year Of Heater Core Is Close To A Slick?

I read somewhere a different heatercore would fit the Slick60's pickups. I have a 1965 2wd F-250 with the slopped floor, not the step. Would like to get one likely to be in stock on a Sunday.
Thank's

EDIT: Blower motor is in the cab.

Re: wiring harness

I strung kit 510260 in my 65 F-250 a few years ago. At that time they were using Vortec era GM plugs. Although they had both ends to adapt to your trucks accessories I chose to use original Ford ends on the new harness. Either bought from Dennis Carpenter or used old ones in good shape. It has a thi...

Re: Fiberglass Headliners for Slicks

Not long ago we lost a good friend named Irl Collins who had created a really nice headliner for all of our Slick truck cabs! He built molds to make headliners for every version of them and also the 41-47 Ford Truck Cabs too! We will all miss seeing Irl at Slick Stock and Pate Swap Meet as well as ...

Mechanical secondaries, three chokes, three accelerator pumps and six idle mixture screws. If I could tune that I would be on the gas all the time just enjoying the fruits of my labor.
