Re: Gotta Love Today's Parts Stores
I'm starting to think O'reillys is a little more vintage vehicle friendly. I got rear spring bushings there a while back no problem and they actually have some "made in USA" tools on the shelf. I was impressed..

A 65 has a small dimple on the firewall where you drill. A 64 might also.

Re: Aint afraid of no stinkin cold lol.
It was 18 degrees yesterday morning and 20 this morning. Not as cold as I've seen it around here, but will get your attention . I'm getting to where I don't handle it too good myself, Alan . Sounds like you'll get some heat off of that wood. I'd like to have one of those two way wood splitters.

Re: Aint afraid of no stinkin cold lol.
Alan, the slabs are what's left after logs are sawed into boards. What I get are about 8' long and this load was mostly red oak, white oak and hickory.Aged about 1 1/2 years. Da good stuff :) I have an old 600 ford tractor and a cord wood saw with a 29" blade. We cut the slabs into 20 to 24&quo...

Re: Aint afraid of no stinkin cold lol.
I do if it's not too big,but most of the split stuff was over 20" in diameter red oak, white oak, some maple and cut a month ago. Me and a friend with his wood splitter and my tractor with boom pole and log grabs done the big stuff. We sawed the slabs with my ford wood saw. I'm still trying not t...

A couple days fun. The slabs are dry. Splitwood will be good for next year, but I'll mix a little in this year :) http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab201/f100jim/DSCN2168.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab201/f100jim/DSCN2167.jpg http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab201/f100jim/DSCN2169.jpg

Ice, I've seen the 4 way flasher in the dash panel in that same location on big slicks where those heater cables are on the first one.

I agree. Ebay has some bad points, but where else would you find some of this junk uh I mean stuff. :D I'm fixing to bid on a exhaust manifold for a ford tractor. It's at 9 bucks now. The last manifold like that I bought was $60. I got a nice61-66 rear view mirror for $7.99 the other day. There's st...

Re: Seat recovered...finally
the seat in my truck is already been recovered and looks really good, just not period correct. i have even thought about contacting the buyer of my 67 and seeing if he would do a trade, his seat for mine. it was a nice, but not correct for 66, red seat. it would look more at home than the seat cove...

My computer makes that truck look painted in Tropical Turquoise ,a great color. Be sweet with a white cab top and around back glass.

Re: Seat recovered...finally

I'll say this, if you don't really care that much if it's OEM style material or not, I'd go with newer style material. It is more comfortable a...

Yeah, I kinda like the dash layout. Looks like my 98 exploder dash. The truck looks good to me except the bed.
