I am still working on getting permission to use the track owned by Badgerland F100's. It is the same track used at SS1. If it will fit in the back of my daily driver, we wouldn't have to worry about license plates and insurance. Would just have to tow the 66.

I'd say the guy just pegged the meter on his "pucker factor".
Get a giggle out of them thinking those 2 hooks in the back window will do anything if that truck falls. How long you think the sheetmetal will hold the weight?

I hang with a group of rodders. They have taught me a lot about hot rodding. I have my 1956 F100 panel truck that has been highly modified. It has a Camaro subframe, 351 Cleveland, AOD, 9" rearend. It sets in the corner of my shed waiting the day I hit the lottery and can afford paint. I got a ...

In light of some comments about the position of the light and wiper knobs, is this not correct? I have my lights first and then the wipers, does this mean I have them backward?

Depends on if your truck is a 61-64 or a 65-66. They are different.

In 1975 the federal government mandated unleaded fuel. Like anything new, especially forced down our throats, the buying public was leary of this new fuel. The unleaded was mandatory below a certain GVW. So the F150 trucks and E150 vans were offered at a higher weight capacity so you could still use...

Ford made the F100 (not F150) in 1980-83 with the 4 1/2" bolt pattern. If you compare parts needed for the 73-79 rotors and the 80-83 small pattern rotors, they use the same bearings and seals. I assume this means they will swap right in if the lengths are the same.

From the damage, it looks like the fire started in the middle of the car or rear of the engine. That is a shame that it happened to this kid. The reason it is a shame is that this kid obviously liked his car enough to customize it the way he wanted it. He might be the future of hotrodding and this t...

Since you have a low first gear, have you considered just swapping the rearend gears? Maybe somewhere between 2.75 to about 3.25. That will bring the RPM's down.

Thanks guys for the very valid points. Some of those ideas had occurred to me and that is part of why I asked the question. Bob's F100 does sell frames with Volare' already installed but they are for the 53-56 trucks and we all know their budgets are larger than the average Slick. I have a 53-56 fra...

Is there a market?

I replied to another thread here and got to wondering. I have an extra frame from a 64. I was thinking about adding an Aerostar or Jaguar IFS to it. I would then sell it as a rolling chassis that someone would just add their truck onto. Is there a need for this? What would anyone pay for a frame wit...

Yeah, what Johnny said! I have done a couple of these Aerostar swaps and they are the easiest I have ever done. I have an extra 64 frame and was wondering if there is a market for a frame with the Aerostar (or Jaguar) IFS already installed. Just a rolling chassis that you bolt your truck onto. In ca...

We put a FI 302 in the 63. First engine just used a stock Ford 2 barrel in place of the TBI. Had to mount an electric fuel pump because the engine didn't have provisions for a mechanical pump. Also used a Ford Duraspark ignition and distributor. Worked great until the engine started showing it's age...
