Re: New '65 Flareside owner
Danny,
It will definately be a DIY paint job. I have been looking into brushing and rattle can paint jobs and have seen good results with both. Just something I can drive and enjoy.

Re: New '65 Flareside owner
My main reason for sanding the dash (and the rest of the interior soon) is to get rid of the red paint that is flaking off everywhere. I'm not sure what I'm going to do color-wise yet. Sometimes I think it would be cool to re-do the green, other days I think red would be the way to go. Will probably...

Re: New '65 Flareside owner
You guys were right, it was a Bell truck. I found this decal under the previous owners paint job:
“No job is so important and no service is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely.”

Roger, I bought the truck a few months ago and upon hearing the engine run for the first time it was my dad who mentioned the valve tick-tick-tick-tick-like clutter. My only experience in repair has been bolt-on up to this point. I'm not sure if this is something I could do with my skill-set so I wo...

Shop or mechanic recommendation in Seattle area
I need to find a shop or mechanic preferably in the Seattle area that can service my hydraulic lifter valves in my 300. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

1965 Radio dimensions
Does anybody know where I could find the dimensions of the radio that came in a '65? The previous owner put an 80's tape deck in and I'm wondering how much the dash has been modified. I would like to get an original radio back in it but may have to go with some kind of radio delete to cover up the m...

New '65 Flareside owner
Greetings from a 1st time Slick owner and 1st time poster. I bought this single-family owned '65 flareside a few weeks ago and have been learning the ins and outs as best as I can make out but there are a few things I have some questions about. Rather than list a bunch here I will leave this as more...
