I agree with these guys, I think it looks great! I'm sure my first attempt wouldn't turn out half as good, by any means.
I like the invisible hood effect, with the scoop sitting there. :lol:

I can't say for sure on your other thoughts, but have you plucked that IVR out & put a volt meter to it? It may have just gone bad on you & the quick fix would be to just replace it with another one. :)

You know...I actually prefer the mirror location on the '70 door. I've had 3 cars from the Ford family now, that have had the mirrors in the '71 position...pretty much "in yer face". I can see the reason for having it further back on a car with wing windows, but for cars with one piece win...
