Re: New Porterbuilt IFS Crossmember Pics!

That is real nice looking for the front. I am actually pretty pissed that this wasn't available when I did mine because it would have saved me money in the end grrr.

I was also told that they can use your center and jump the wheel up a size. It wasn't too expensive either, ...

Re: c10 subframe??

On my build, I had to get the crossmember with the narrowed track width, narrowed the control arms, and had the wheels rehooped and the offset changed. It works great now but it was a lot of work. But I wanted the 1 ton 8 lug stuff on mine which gave me little option.

http://i481.photobucket.com/albums/rr179/thenephilm117/bedsidetoolbox_zps6a67d1ca.jpg Long bed tool box was cut down to make a box for my short bed. It was rather time consuming but not terribly difficult. Bed is also mounted and once the tool box is in, I can sheet the floor. The driveshaft is bei...

This is supremely irritating lol. Making my c30 front clip work on the front of my ford had been a lot of work lol. And now that that part is done, they come out with this clip ugh lol.

I doubt it will fetch real big money, it just depends on the restoration. I would say 15k to 20k.

Re: Thinking about converting my 66 to a 1/2 ton

If you want some improvement on ride quality, I would get rid of the beams entirely and put a mustang 2 crossmember in or a crown vic crossmember.

The rear wheels will be rehooped and widened eventually as I have the room in there for a 10" wide wheel. Unfortunately, you can't buy aftermarket 8 lug innie wheels lol.

All of the piping will be stainless as well and then the piping and turbo housings will be polished by another friend. In the mean time, I will be working on t...
