Does anyone reproduce the white inserts and has anyone bought any if there available......I bought the glove box knob from LMC,the knob is ok but the insert is so off white it's just a pathetic effort for a company that seems to always get it wrong..... and I have no interest putting marbles, dimes or any other hillbilly BS......I want an original white looking insert.........
My 350 is running strong, love the Pertronix.Almost an instant start, idles so smooth I barely hear it....
Haven't posted for a while,so until next time here's wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year
That's it for now
Dan

Dan,

Here is a link, if it works, to Carpenter's website with the insert.

http://dennis-carpenter.com/m/product.a ... 1TZ-9700-I

They do appear off-white, I bought some to replace green inserts the previous owner installed in my truck.

The only reference I had to an original was in a throttle cable, which had yellowed over the years.

Here is a photo with the original in the center on the throttle cable and two reproductions on either side. Hard to see the difference but the center one shows more yellow tint under natural light.

The DC inserts don't look bad at all. I bought some to model new ones after when I was making some glow in the dark inserts. That'll give me something to do when the 3D printer head is in the budget.
