Yes it is. It is an advertisement meant for a very select subgroup and useless to most people here. It should be posted in the classified area and because it isn't it is spam. It is an ad which will no longer be valid and will not be able to be viewed after a short time period and the classifieds are specifically designed with that in mind as the postings are regularly deleted. Well, guess you are making up your own definitions now. Just because you don't like something or object to something doesn't make it spam. SPAM by the most common definition is "unsolicited or unwanted e-mail" not postings that Hawkrod finds objectionable.
I personally think you're beating a dead horse that the majority of the active members don't object to. While the postings may "useless" to most people, I believe they are "of interest" to many members as they relate to Slicks.
I would suggest that if you don't want to look don't click on the posting. In fact, the title of this post specifically states: "CL ad Toploader - Omaha area". I'm assuming you know what CL means, and if that's so, then you apparently just clicked on it so you can post a bitch.

So because the "most common definition" is email you say I am making it up? You use a falsehood to make a point using misdirection? I thought you were more ethical than that, I guess I was wrong. For those that are not foolhardy enough to take Gritsngumbo's falsehood at face value, here is the definition of forum spam: "Forum spam is the creating of messages that are advertisements, abusive, or otherwise unwanted on Internet forums." and I did not make it up or even help create the definition. It is just the acceopted definition in netiquette. I don't mind you disagreeing with me but don't lie to prove your point, it makes you look pretty stupid. Hawkrod

As always, Hawk, keeping it classy: "foolhardy", "falsehood", "lie", "stupid".
You can't seem to make a point without disparaging others.

Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black. You made a false accusation first didn't you? So are you saying it is alright for you to do it but if I respond in kind it is somehow worse? Nice double standard there. Hawkrod

You know the e-mail going around with the beautiful woman and the caption that no matter how hot she is, someone, somewhere is sick of her shit?
Well, no matter how smart Hawkrod is (or thinks he is), I'm finally sick of his shit. There are ways to disagree with people without being a dick.
I will never again acknowledge or respond to anything he says or posts.
The rest of you can tolerate his crap as long as you can stand it.
Hawk, as far as I'm concerned, you're fired.
And if you want to make it personal, I live in Houston and am available for consultation.

Any way we can have a Ebay/Craigslist finds added to the for sale area? The fordsix.com site does this, and it works well. Not that I have any problems with Greg's post. In fact, I have a toploader in my truck, and was interested in the post.

Hate to get in the middle of this, but....I believe Hawk brings up a good point, though I am not saying I necessarily agree with him.

Jerry D's suggestion sounds like a decent compromise that might possibly imrpove the site.
Is it doable?

Ditto on this. On the canadianrodder.com site, in the classifieds section, there is a sub-category entitled "Notable Classifieds" which is essentially there to give anyone who cares to look a "heads up" on ads for items that may be of interest to other members.
I have been putting up some CL & kijiji ads for slicks/parts on Slick60's, from time to time, but have always placed them in the Trading Post section..............
