new to the sight

Post by fordkid64 »

I just want to say this sight is awesome. My name is Fred I'm from Harvey's lake Pa. I'm 32 and i've been tinkering with these trucks since I was 13 (thank uncle). I currently have a 1964 f-100 styleside shortbed on a 1966 shortbed 4x4 frame. Its running a 390, np435, np205, disc Dana 44, and power steering. Oh yeah 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift with 38's. Still retained original seat with gear/lightening bolt. I hope to chat with everyone. Thanks. Take care.

Welcome to the '64 F100 Slick Division of Slick 60's. You're in a good class. All other years kind of smell funny but they're ok too. :D

Max, I've been chasing that problem for over 50 years, and you had the solution the whole time!

ok slickers. Here are the rest of my pics of my deprived child hood. I bought this truck in my senior year of high school. 1997. It was all bondo but it was cool lol. It was homemade 4 wheel drive and the frame wasnt boxed mono beam 2wd frame. So we put it to 2wd on a 1966 frame with a 352. It was all good until coil bucket rotted off. That was the last time the truck was on the road (2000). Then i got a 1966 swb 4x4 frame added power steering a 1977 disc brake 44, a booster, relocated front cab mounts gathered up as many truck parts as possible and made one lol. I found a nice bed but floor was shot so i made the sides by the fenders higher added square tubbing so i could add 5 quarter board and make a wood floor set up like the stepside. I added a 390 bored .030. Then college came, house, daughter (shelby), then single dad life, long days and now she sits and looks at me as if I left her chained to a fence like a dog. I hope to revive her soon.

The "attachment" function (at the bottom of the "reply" screen works well also. We didn't have it prior to the software upgrade. You can attach a photo from your computer just like attaching a photo or document to an e-mail.
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

The pics came through just fine Fordkid. Warmer weather is coming and you still have time to air up the tires and get her running so you can come meet us in Kansas City for Slick Stock 5. Oh and :welcome: from
