OK, Paul, I didn't go, I thought I might sit in the Flex Steel for a few minutes and chart my course, about a hour later when the Grand Daughter woke me up I thought it was to late too start out. What with my astigmatism. Your comment caused me to think about the milage, belive it or do, Tulsa to Ft Worth 285. Ft worth to Galveston 312. Speaking of Galveston, they put Glen Cambell in a Alzimers care facility today. Galveston was a big hit while I was at Keesler AFB, Biloxi Ms '69

See, it would have been a fair contest! You're slightly beyond Tulsa , and I'm a seagull's flight distance from Galveston
Your remark about Galveston brings back memories of Biloxi in the "old days". Galveston will never have a beach to compare; although Galveston had "other attractions" when I was but a wee lad!
Biloxi is still one of my favorite places, and definitely looking forward to that next upcoming "trip with Skip"
I've rode out serious hurricanes at both, have to say Miss. was worst, so far!

Our buddy Doyle, (he's a Mopar Guy, so we won't dwell on him) finally got my sticker in the mail, my space Ave 7 Space 787 Block 60. We wanted it out there so that anyone wanting to take advantage of our "NO FREIGHT CHARGE SALE" , running from Thursday morning till noon Saturday. I also want to point out there are no unexpected Surcharges despite the fact I'll still be just getting 9.3 MPG.

Can anyone tell me what time they close shop at Pate on Thursday? Me and a buddy would like to come up after work and would like to know what kind of time frame were looking at.

Not really a set time for closing. Some people start shutting down about 4-5 pm ish but some stay open (the big vendors normally shutdown about this time also). You should still be able to get in until 10pm when they have quite time for people to sleep that are sleeping in there spots. Honestly I've never really stayed much more than 5 but I know others who have and still find stuff. Hope this helps.

I am leaving tomorrow about noon to visit friends in Temple Tuesday night, then visit friends in Crowley on Wednesday, then on to Pate for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Looking forward to seeing every one. The junks OK, but the people are great! Thanks, Lyman.

Truckster, I'll be there in the morning and I'll probably leave when everyone else does. I have your plug so we need to figure a way for you to get it.
Do you have anyone I can give it to?
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?

Skip, I won't know anyone there but if you're going to still be there on Sunday (early) I will be able to make it. If Sunday doesn't work for you just call or text me and we can figure something else out

It was great, met a lot of new folks with our favorite truxs. Got off to a rocky start, tire problems. Regrouped went on to a great weekend. Ed from Grand Junction, CO was there. I'd bet he was impressed with the size of the meet. Plan on being there next year

The white boxes? if so Lymann had them and they did sell. We had already packed up and left shortly after 4 on Saturday. Most of the Huston group had headed home. A couple of us went up to Decatur to eat at sweaty pies. Sure was good (Thanks Gary).

Sure hated to miss that one! Glad to hear ya'll didn't get stuck in the aftermath of the accident. BTW, between "Snotty Pig" and "sweaty Pies", people are gonna wonder about our eatery choices!

I met graybeard in the camping area after he pulled in, he had some tire problems to sort out and I was going to meet him again at his swap space. Well we never got together again as I missed him 3 or 4 times at his space and camping spot. (I was busy Shopping).
The meet was huge and I was all over the place.

I did go to Slick 60's spot and met Chris, Uncle Skip, Paul, Max and Lyman and 2 or 3 other members.
I had a great visit and rest stop from shopping.
Missed the BBQ at Chris's :( . (Maybe next year).

Chris, thanks for the invite.
