Friday 4-25-14

Who the heck knows… It has been fun and a Long Weekend. Most people pack up this day some bargains can be found but it’s mainly a ghost town by mid afternoon.

All of the above is bound to change but shouldn’t change by to much…. If I’m not around come sit a spell anyhow…. 

Pate Spots we all have this year is:

Zone 2A – Block 64 – Row 11 & 12 – spaces 778 to 789 (Actually more but still same area)

Space Layout (How to find us) -

It is, Mark, despite my wife's misgivings! "Snotty Pig, Doesn't sound very good to me!" The whole trip could be described as a glutton's delight! In my case, that describes both the food and the "gotta have it" selections that inevitably follow me home!

Just spent the first full day getting Shoe String ready! Haven't drove it much sense last Oct & Nov's rod runs. I've been wanting to try a different carb on it. I'll get that done in the next week. A slide in camper bought just for swap meets went in the bed for the first time, it was too wide, too tall, and too long, it just looked awful. I'll be pulling a Airstream of nearly the same vintage. They have a camp grounds there for , $20.00 for the time of the event, that isn't bad. I've been looking forward to Mercardo Juarez, or Joe T's nothing against Bar BQ. See every one there I hope, driving their Slicks?

I'm still planning on coming as long as the weather is friendly :). I lived in OKC for a long time so I know what to expect.

I guess I will be in the campground with greybeard. $20.00 is good!

I just seen an ad in a car magazine I was reading said there is 7800 Swap Meet Spaces? OMG!

I am going to be busy.

I will try to find the Slick Sixtys compound 1st

Ed,
I'll be staying in a '59 Airstream, 22' I had hoped to be in a Prevost but that hasn't worked out. The Prevost and my retirement are both Lottery dependent, parts will be cheap at my space.

Graybeard and you could join us at the Snooty Pig for breakfast. :) That goes for anyone that is going and wants to join us. We try and take over that place over during pate. We got some stories especially about the ICE.

Irl,
I don't even like to park by a Prevost.
I'll be in a 2003 Winnebago Minnie-Winnie with Colorado plates.

If the CFO gets wind of my plans to take the truck and big trailer, I may be the guy next to ya'll trying to stretch out in an old roadster! Might make getting that headliner home a little interesting,

I know a guy in DFW who may be bringing a wide short bed in nice shape and a 66 cab too if anyone has any interest..he did advertise it in the DFW Craigs...

If I am lucky I might attend but I think work will put the brakes on it.

Paul, you haul my front clip, I'll haul your headliner.
Ed, I'll bet you a cold beer that the first words out of your mouth when you see Pate are "Holy Shit"
Be sure to bring a pad and pencil so you can write down addresses of stuff you want to go back and look at or buy, because you won't even be able to remember where the Slick guys park.
Your brain just goes into sensory overload. Ask Toyz.
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Uncle Skip, Thanks for the warning. I will bring a note pad. Ice cold beer it is:). I am ready for some shock and AWE! I'm sure my cooler will be handy. Then my brain will go into sensory overload.

Thanks Skip. I have what appears to be a door off of some kind of coke machine or something. It has a recessed pull handle so I will need to cut a hole in the door I use. The door says I C E and has a nice look about it. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Lyman.
