Well, I have made the commitment to go to the Pate Swap Meet.

Since I will be staying in a Motorhome, any ideas when I should get there?

Is parking a hassle?

I was planning on showing up Wednesday afternoon to get a good parking spot close to the entrance.

Restrooms and showers are supposed to be available. I am bringing the wife and she likes more creature comforts than I do. + (I need somebody to carry parts).

I am planning to leave tomorrow if the passes are not snowed in. I will be in OKC area (Choctaw) until we leave for Pate.

Looking forward to meeting Y'all.

There is a lot of parking. TMS even has area's for camping and full RV hookups. Parking can get a little crazy on friday/sat but I think getting there wed (not to much going on Wednesday) or thurs you won't have any problems getting a good spot. Yes TMS has great shower houses and they are open. Other members have used them in past years and said they were great. It will be good to meet you and your wife.

Here is the TMS link http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com/ it should contain all the info you need for showers, access, etc. :)

Somebody posted that they were thinking of bringing a '66 cab to Pate but I can't find the original post. Anybody know anything about this or was I dreaming?
Rickybobby here in Houston really needs a new cab, or at worst, an new cab top to section on.
Thanks guys.

Skip, that was DJBill's post earlier(further up) on this topic. However, his friend's parts are no longer on C/L, so probably sold!

Hey Neil, Truckrat here, I'll be stopping off at the DQ in Valley View on Wednesday next week for some ice cream on my way to Pate. Shoot me a PM with your number and we can visit over some ice cream
. Not sure what time it'll be but will call you when I get there. Probably something around noon or after. I am going to Chris's place after I stop at Pate for a while. Hope to see you then. TR

Plan is to beat Gary there while he's on ice cream break! I'll certainly contact ya'll if I miss everyone at the meet Wednesday. I believe Skip is on about the same timetable.
I'm staying in Lake Worth Wednesday, then back to Alliance Thursday.
