223six to yblock swap. Different front mt?

Post by bird55 »

What front mt do i use? I know the six mt wont work. I have the mt from an f250/292 but it is too short? I thought the frames would be the same? Stumped?

There is an "ear" on the front frame cross member (welded on) for the Y-Blocks. Not sure why the frame/mount would be different on the F250 (possibly different if it was a 4X4?).
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

Grits hit it exactly! you will need the frame "tab" from a 292 equipped truck. I can post pictures later tonight if needed.

Allen,
We just recieved a new Mac's catalog they've got a page full of front engine mount parts for Y-Blocks. If your still looking you might want to check it out.
