Factory 'Interior Chrome Option' - really???

Post by slixtyfive »

My most recent acquisition ('62 unibody) has chromed glove box, ash tray, defroster vents and dash end caps. The PO said that was a factory option but I find that hard to believe. Anyone know for sure??

I guess I should be posting a wanted ad for those pieces (not chromed).....

I've never seen anything in print regarding 'interior chrome option'.
I don't believe it ever was a true option.
