Rear parking breaking cables
Rear parking breaking cables
Any place in Canada that would have the 2 rear parking brake cables for 1964 M100 I imagine they can be custom made local but just wondering if someplace has them already made. I heard there was a place in Ontario that makes cables for old vehicles.
Re: Rear parking breaking cables
I found a couple from "Special interest cars" in Ontairo they have them in stock. A couple local shops custom make e-brake cables but they were talk'n over a 100 for just 1.

Sometimes you can get the old ones to work by hanging them up and add a thin oil or wd 40 and let it seep down. Tom

Yes I've done that with cables over the years too. These were too far gone though. The front cable I got moving good again though.

HAYMAN: Just for giggles, try Gary Automotive, they are on South side, not far off Whyte Ave, and a bit west of 99 St, he is pretty good at sourcing the seemingly impossible:)

Re: Rear parking breaking cables
If you have access to a scrap yard the driver or passanger side cable from 95ish nissan quest and its equivalant the ford aerostar I believe is what it is called will work. This is what I used for mine. I have a 62 short flareside and all I hade to do was , move the cable brackets to the other side of the cross member and lenthed the bent rod underneath. Just make sure you can get two driver side or two passanger side cables, the longer of the two they will swap right in.
I think this is my first post and im some what new to this forum
