Hi -
I am new to this forum, started looking around here and see this is dedicated to just the slicks so glad to be here. See some FTE members on here as well. I am looking for lower cowl / pillar repair panels. Ive seen these for the older 48-52 / 53-56 trucks but not the 61-66 trucks. Anyone on here replaced these sections before? Looking like I am gabbing my own so far? Any help or direction appreciated.

Thanks. Ive got email into Flashback F100 to see what they have. I know of a good donor truck in Montana but 2600 miles...eeek.

I made the lower pillar pieces the other day.. It is a bit complicated but not that hard...I did simplify it a little bit, using one layer of thicker metal rather than doubling up everything like the factory did.

It depends on what your target for the truck is. These are not very visible without sticking your head in the wheel well. I've just formed some metal and welded it in. If you are looking for a show type result, you're best off finding a better cab to start with. The are a lot of larger trucks out there with better cabs that match the 64 style w/ stepwells since these covered all years of the larger slicks from 61-66.
