Bell/ball type header collector flange seals?

Post by slixtyfive »

I'm used to the flat flange typ header collector flanges with a gasket. What is used to seal the ball/bell type connectors?

They are a snug fit on their own similar to a brake line. The nice thing about the ball flange is that they allow for some angle directly at the joint where the flat ones have to fit exact. I prefer the ball flanges.

Yes, i like the ability to adjust the angle directly off the collector. Nothing drastic but just a little bit can help alot.

Maybe some super high temp sealant?? I have a hard time believing they will completely seal metal to metal???

I did not add anything to mine and they are completely sealed.
