Forgot to tell everyone

Post by Fordman85 »

I guess with as busy as I have been I forgot to tell everyone. After Slickstock I bought my old truck back. While we were there my wife told me I needed to get it back so thats what we did.

Great! Give her a hug and tell her how much she means to you. After that, maybe you should hug the wife too.

That reminds me of when I got my truck STOLEN in 1986 :cussing:

I had the truck at my friends shop overnight and one of his ex-employees stole it one night. The next day we realized it was gone, when a lady called and said she new where my truck was. The thieves evidently threw the registration an insurance out the window in front of her house (I know, they were not to bright), so she picked it up and called me. So with time's a-wastin' we put together a posse of two vehicles with 2 guys each. To make a very long story short, after hunting them down almost all night we finally physically took the truck back. It was quite a wild "ride" that night, but as dangerous as it was it was worth it to get my truck back. FYI, my Grandpa bought it new in '61 and it has a lot of sentimental value. Also, this was in Detroit, so we couldn't count on the Cops for anything ... they just ignored our calls.

I wouldn't recommend an adventure like this, but God willing it worked out OK.
