Smallblock clutch linkage

Post by 66camperspecial »

I am thinking about taking the 460/C-6 out of my 66 and installing a 302 and 4 speed toploader back down in it,I know the windsor motors were never installed in those trucks from the factory so if I decide to do this so will the 67 to 72 smallblock parts work.

if our talking about the z bar. i oud get the 67 stuff and tweak it. honestly it a tube with 2] 1/4 inch bent bars not much to it just time consuming. get pics for reference. headers will make it more of a issue.

you will need parts from the 69-72 truck.
the 6 and 302 use a screw in ball on the side of the block. all the others have a bracket with the ball mounted to it.
not sure if you need to move the frame bracket some or not.

I should have all the original clutch parts but they are for a FE but was curious about the Z bar.

I need to look in the shed and see what i done with the parts i took off 5 years ago, probably would be easier to go to the junkyard and get other parts.
