Door Handles

Post by Hookedtrout »

I have a question, more out of curiosity than anything. On my 62 Uni and the two spare doors I have I find that all three drivers side doors have an odd similarity, the door handle push knob. All 3 of them are loose and wobble like a loose tooth about to come out, I have two passenger doors that are tight and push straight in. The driver door handles are loose enough that if you push them in too far they actually catch under the handle and the door won't shut. Is this common? Why just the drivers side, use? Can it be fixed?

I can't say for sure but i'd assume simply because the driver's door was used more and has more wear...?

Anyone else see the same thing? I have 3 drivers side doors that are all loose and 2 passenger doors that are good and solid on the button.

I'll give the swap a shot! Thanks. Guess it's good we are wearing them out, be a shame to just sit there and last forever.
