If the mirrors are original, I'd check out pics of other slicks to get them close. If they are not original, however they fit. The original ones have a lower bracket that matches the curve of the door. I have originals on my Ranger, let me know if you want actual measurements.

If they are the ford option mirrors I may still have the original instruction sheet.
There were two different styles, one with a foot that screws onto the door skin, and one that bolts to the mirror mount that pokes thru the skin at the front of the door.
If you post a picture of what you have, I will look to see if yours are the same.

I think I know what you mean, the kind that have a big u shaped arm that screws to the top of the door above the window, and then on the roll of the door that starts above the handle.
Mine mount on a pipe @ 3/4" round x 12" long on the mirror post with a thin adjustable stabilizer that screws to the door.
My sons are like bruceandersson attached to curved foot, that screws to the door skin, instead of the mirror post.
My 'Turk' build came with the kind I think you have, but I have no way of knowing if they were installed correctly

The style of mirror on the truck in the pic is not original for slicks. It is a '70s design and came in three different widths. The frame can be carefully bent so it will fit the door contour of a slick door. I have a '66 someone put the same set on without tweaking the frame and they do not look quite right.
