I have everything on my bench to swap in delay wipers so is it a plug and play or will there be any modifications to the wiring.

the few times i have done it it was a plug and play. i did one last week on a 66 wiring harness with a stock 2 speed windshield wiper setup. i am not sure what i took it off of. just dug it out of storage, tested it, mounted, and plugged it in. the windshield wiper switch had the integral windshield washer button built in to that switch instead of the black and chrome dash button. i used that for the horn. no cutting of the wiring.

i also remember one time quite a few years back that i had to swap the bracket off another windshield washer setup and do some modifying to the contacts or something. i can;t remember. but still no changes to the wiring. if you have the right windshield wiper motor and bracket it is very easy.

lot of the 64/66 trucks I used that wiper motor bracket to install the 67/79 motors on it,, use the original arm that bolts on the original motor that attach the wiper trans arms to it hook up power source,, great thing is that switch also has the place for windshield washers

You will need only to do the following changes:
Swap the later motor onto the '66 bracket.
Swap the '66 bell crank onto the donor (later) motor.
Identify the power lead to the old switch, and install it on the donor switch.

You may want to shorten the shaft on the donor switch, as some are longer than the '66.
You may also want to run the power lead for the squirts from the donor (later) switch out the firewall out to the engine bay at this time.

It looks like I will have to get a new switch,I took the donor switch apart to clean the contacts for the washer but still not working so time to fork over 60 plus dollars.
