front wheel size

Post by shocker998md »

im not sure what size wheel I should go with on my 66f100. It has a coil and a half cut out of the front and a 215/55/15 tire. Im looking at the Cragar 15x7 or 15x6 wheel and im wanting to run the 7 wide in the front. Heres the link to the wheels.im just worried about backspacing and width. I do have power steering so Im not worried about that.

I have 15x8's on the front with 235/60/15's. Pushes it right out to the edge. No rubbing. Painted hammer tone silver with trim rings.

MeZapU! Beauty truck. Shocker998md, I use 7 inch smoothies on my white truck. They work well but with fat tires you will need power steering. I used some late Bronco 7 inch wheels on the red truck that are very similiar to the ones MeZapU has on his truck. Again power steering on both trucks. IMHO!

I would go with 6 on the front and 7 on the rear to even out the track width some.

I already have 10s and 275/60s for the back. I think ill go with the 7s or maybe 8s. Im not sure now. I think the 215s may not fit an 8" wheel.

I run 235/70's up front on 7 inch wide wheels and 275/60 on the rear on 8 inch wide wheels. I like it because the tires are all the same diameter.

Are you lowered in the front? That's my delema is figuring out what width and backspace and tire size up front.

Mine isn't lowered, well except for what 50 years has done to the front springs. I'd say go with a 7 inch wheel and whatever height tire you need to keep from rubbing.
