CV Installation Offset

Post by falcain »

I'm installing a CV front end in my 64.

Looking for feedback on if the center line of the CV assembly needs to be moved forward or back from the original front axle location to keep the wheels centered in the fender wells after the 5" drop. I'll be installing either 17"x8" or 18"x9" wheels.

I just want to make sure the wheels won't be off center once I re install the front clip and fenders.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That's a good video. Looks like those guys put the centre axle line in the same spot as the original truck.
