66 custom cab chrome trim clips

Post by rderr »

Does anyone know where I can find the spring/X clips that hold the chrome trim to the dash of a custom cab? I only need three of them. I am sure the original ones are in my barn somewhere but it may be years before I find them.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

I don't recall exactly what they look like, but this website may help:

http://www.clipsandfasteners.com

These look like some of the ones we use:

Hope it helps.

Banjo: Those guys may have what one needs, but a quick look @ the pricing almost gave me a heart attack:)

Have posted these links before, but it's relevant here.....

Look for a local jobber that carries products from these two co's..........

Well, some of the prices on the main page looked pretty spendy, but after looking at the second link, seems not so bad, most of the clips on second link are pkg of 10 or 15, so under 2 bucks each......

I couldn't find any a year or so ago when I was looking. I got a response from here on a line for someone who had some extra. Might try that. Seems it was 5 bucks through the mail.

If there is a body shop that has been around a long time check there they probably have a cabinet of stuff from when this stuff was used.

If restoring a ford was easy, chevy guys could do it.

Try these guys , I think the one you want looks like those but smaller, I would call them and ask ,I know they have had parts that were not listed online :2cents:
