turn signal wiring HELP

I am replacing my turn signal switch on my 63 the switch has 8 wires two of which go to the horn contacts .originally there way only one so i CUT one contact off and installed the switch .Does it matter that it only has ONE contact now and do i need to order a new switch and keep the switch intact .where do the two horn wires go .thks

only 1 wire operates the horn, its blue with gold stripe.

there are a total of 7 wires

i do not have a pic of the 63 switch and wires, only a 61-62 all metal type however the wire colors are the same

in the pic you can see the horn contact on the left side

If you got the switch from NPD that has 2 horn contacts, use the one that lines up with the contact ring on your steering wheel. It will be in the same place as the old contact on the old signal cam assembly. Don't worry about the other one.

The blue wire grounds the horn relay and the relay powers the horn. The blue wire will connect to the horn relay having traveled from the horn button to the relay up by the battery box.
