Carb Question

Might need to replace my carb,wondering what some of you are using on your 240/300.I have a Holly/motorcraft 1940 one barrel.Also what type did Ford use 66 and up.

I have a Carter YF on mine. I think the YF was the standard carb on all of them later on. If you don't have a load o matic setup it is a good one, because it is easy to rebuild and has good fuel metering capability. It is also good if you want to get rid of load o matic, but you will need to change the distributor also.

I have a mid80s 300 with Offenhauser dual plane intake and 500 CFM Edelbrock. Carb is overkill but I could not get the smaller Holley to stop throwing extra fuel.

i ran a clifford and headers with a 2v holley on an otherwise stock 66 300
worked very well and i would do it again.

Engine has a stock intake and vacuum advance type dist....
