Rebuilt front Springs

Post by Truckrat »

My front springs I rebuilt for my 57. Main leaf is arched the opposite way
to make it a reverse eye spring. Then sliding strips were ordered and installed
between the spring leafs. Finally I drilled holes in the 3rd spring in the round
domes at each end and installed U-clamps and bolts to hold the longer springs
in line. TR

Probably about 2 inches although I did remove one real short leaf
out of each one. Eventually want to get Sid to do a dropped axle for it.
Should get about 3 more inches that way. TR
