Stock speedo to zf5

Has anyone come up with a way to connect the stock speedo to a zf5, 7.3 diesel and 4x4 if it matters.

If the zf5 (I assume this is the trans) has an electronic sender, you may be facing a challenge. Could you use the guts of an electronic speedo with the stock face and needle? I think the electronic ones are adjustable so you might be able to get it to read accurately.

I used a "Cable X" box (made by Abbott) to convert the electronic output to drive my stock speedometer in my 61. Fully programmable calibration so once tires are installed, the speedo can be set perfectly. I believe Dakota Digital also sells a similar unit.
