Rear cab cargo lamp

Post by 69supercj »

Anybody ever retro fitted a later model cargo light to the back of their slick cab? I've got several from the 67-73ish bodys and I'd like to put on on my slick but not sure if the rubber gasket will seal up good enough.

had mine on for nearly 15 years and i like it, used a bit of goo on the gasket and never had any issues

btw those lights are actually thunderbird backup lights

I thought they were originally for another vehicle because I seen on one of them it was stamped LH and had a C4 part number. Do you remember where you mounted yours as far as up/down location? I was going to center mine but it almost looks like it would seal better mounted a tad below center and it also looks like it might work better upside down.

Yours looks upside down in that shot and its closer to the top of the cab seam, at least that how it looks to me.
