powder coat rims question

Post by shipwrecked »

Hey all- Im still kicking it around here working on my truck when I can. I had to take a few weeks off and finish a college class. I can now say I have more than a high school education!

Alright- I bought some steel wheels for the 63. Thinking about getting them powder coated but was curious if there is fitment issues with the dog dish caps once you powder coat them.

I did do a search on the forum but nothing popped up. Any idea?

Just a fyi- thats two different sets of dog dish caps. the grey ones are rusted thru and came with the rims.

Shipwrecked,
I think you should have the caps and wheels powder coated.
The finish of powder coating is so much nicer than rattle can
jobs it is like night and day. Only thing is the Ford lettering
would have to be brush painted back on there. Never seen
any powder coaters who do that service. Are those grey hub caps
you aren't using rusted thru or just rusty. If they are not
perforated I can use them. Shoot me a PM if you would.
The grey ones don't look too bad in the picture. Are there 4 of them?
