Name that part.

Post by MN66 »

Can anyone recognize this as a part from a slick? I was coming home from a short ride this afternoon in my 66 F250 and noticed something on the street 50 yards away from my house. I didn't hear anything fall off when I was leaving home, but there just aren't that many old vehicles running up and down my street on an average day.

It's a rusted bolt and cap on a rubber grommet. The bolt/rod looks like it broke at about 4 1/2 inches in length and I don't detect any threads on it. I took a quick look underneath at the front suspension, but didn't notice anything missing or hanging.

Might not be mine, but I don't know whose else it would be.

Thanks!
Corey

Not from your truck unless you have installed a sway bar at some time. That is a swaybar end link prolly from a rusted out chebby truck!!!!

Not likely, But I'd take a peek at my cab mount bolts if I found one of those near my house. Especially since you are living in Minnesota. FWIW!
