Heater Windshield Defroster hose

Post by "Whitey Ford" »

So I was taking out my wiper motor last night and removed the defroster heater hoses from under the dash and the cardboard part that attaches to the bottom of the vent broke (the duct). Where can I get these? Its obviously original since the cardboard was pretty old but it slides into the hose and attaches to the lip of the dash. Any help would be great.

I've never seen reproductions of these. Hopefully someone has a used one. You could repair with epoxy if there's enough left.

yeah i was thinking of that but its right at the attachment on the dash. Seems someone good with fiberglass could make these.

I taped mine back into shape, and gave back side a coat of super glue, removed the tape and did the other side. at least two coats should do it.

do not waste your time, the ones from bumpsides are vinyl with plastic ends, last much longer and easier to work with

Im good with the hose its the duct. the original carboard stuff. Either way last night i pieced it together using gorilla glue. You have to watch it as it sets up and keep pressing it down becasue it expands but it worked. It set up pretty hard so i think all is well. Im going to just reuse the hose. Its not too bad. Thanks everyone.
