Two-tone paint - where does one color stop and the other sta

Post by born4ford »

I'm getting ready to take my two-tone, turquoise and white, '65 F250 to the painter. One of the things I want to give him are reference pictures so that the white goes where the white should be and the turquoise goes where the turquoise should be. The truck has been blasted, primed, body work done and re-primed so I looked over my "before" photos to give the guy for reference. Son of a gun!, no pics of the bed. Does anyone know exactly where the colors change on the bed rails, inside the bed, etc? If you have photos that would be a big bonus. I couldn't find anything on the internet. Truck beds just get no respect, I guess.

My '65 Custom cab had white roof and turquoise two-tone which broke at side moldings.! My original intent was to eliminate the moldings, so I filled the trim holes and broke the two-tone at the character line. I decided I did not like the long bed without the trim, so re-installed and re-painted with the break at the side trim per original.

You bet, Truckrat! I'm going as stock as I can, except for 3 point belts and a 2 pot MC. Oh yeah, had to have a 4 BBL, LOL. I just failed to take any pictures of the inside of the bed so that I could have that to follow at the point of getting the truck painted. Toyz sent a nice pic of the bed as did others.
