What brackets do I need to swap out the generator to an alternator,will not be using the one wire unit..

If you want to spend a little money, "look-alike" alternators with the original generator mounting and appearance are also available.

i have some type of motorola alternator i removed from a parts truck i had, bolts up much like the generator did, has a solid state voltage reg and a wire from the + side of the coil to the vr. was very easy to install as far as wiring

years ago i bought a ford factory y block alt bracket, its still kicking around somewhere its nos and does have a part # on it

I have an shop manual from 59 with my Skyliner and it has a section for alt in the police package.
