drove my truck today

Post by ICEMAN6166 »

finally after what seemed like a very long 6 months drove my truck the 3 miles into town and back :D
no drips, leaks or funky noises although as soon as i pulled onto the road my gas gauge decided it did not want to work :cussing:
not sure what the issue there is but i have moved the tank into the bed and installed a switch for 2 tanks i had from a big truck in anticipation of adding a 2nd tank at some point. guess i will bypass the switch and see if it is bad.
tomorrow we will be taking a longer excursion and see how we manage

Happy for you Brian - wish mine was close to being ready to drive. Heading out tomorrow to put a full day in and will hopefully get the front of my frame and firewall painted. Seems like a long ways away to my first test drive of the year.

just came back from a 130 mile outing
oil looks new and full like its supposed to
played flip the gas tank switch back and forth several times and woke it up i guess so it was reading fuel

came home and nearly tripped over a wheel fedups left on the porch this morning
a wheely good day  (i know, groan) although sadly the tiny Missouri spider escaped from his resting place inside the wheel and disappeared off the bench and into the sand.

Looking good, Brian, and the ol' Rumbler looks to be still holding up well, also! But, you do know you can't put a load in a uni without the doors popping open, especially on a 4x4
