Hello all. I am still doing some work on my 64 f100 and am starting to work on the brakes. The front brakes and drums are shot but I do have a 1969 f100 I am tearing apart to restore right now and plan on upgrading those brakes to discs when I get to that point. Will the drums from the 69 fit on the 64 or are the spindles different. I would check myself but that truck is parked at my parents house since I don't have room up here.
I would just upgrade this truck to discs but I don't want to spend that kind of money right now and still debating on if I want to do the CV swap but I need something to get me by untill then.
Thanks

Re: Front drum brake differences between years.
I think you will find the brake pads wider on the later truck and that would mean the drums are also. I would check though, as nothing is set in stone. Cost of upgrading to disc might be same as finding new drums for your truck. For the cost difference, I would just bite the bullet.

So does that mean the spindle is a different length?
