2100 Carb Thermostatic Choke No Heat
I have a '66 F250 with 352 and a 2100 with thermostatic choke. There is no vacuum line to the choke nor is there a heat tube from an exhaust manifold. The heat it gets is from the heater hose that is clipped to the side of the choke.
Question: Is there an easy option to get a tube of heat running to the choke so it will work better?

You can wrap a tube around the header or exhaust pipe. Wrap at least one time around and seal the end by folding it over. Some air will pass through but it will keep out the trash. Steel or stainless tubing works best. I tried some aluminium once but it cooled too quick, the choke operation was too slow.

If it is a C3 car/Thunderbird manifold, yes. Maybe the C0 also. The pickup manifold is very similar. The manifold from my 65 F-250 has the boss for the heat riser on driver side. Trucks use the passenger side for the choke.

There's a boss on the passenger side manifold but no hole or anything. On the driver side there is a heat riser there, but all I can see is the weighted wheel and spring. I can't see any place for a tube to connect to. It looks a lot like this (not sure how long this url will last for but hopefully long enough for someone to see).

So if there is no actual port there for heat, what exactly does a heat riser do that has no port other than choke off that bank of the engine?

My manifolds on the left are for manual choke. The two on the right are passenger car manifolds. The second picture are two C5 66 dated manifolds. I don't know what the right looked like new but it was automatic choke.

C5TE is the truck casting. Looks like March 5, 1966 date code. A and T castings/stamps are interchanged between car and truck but those manifolds are correct for your truck. Those holes in the manifold could have been two tubes or a bolted on plate. Maybe someone else can say for sure.

I don't have holes in the manifold. The passenger side has the cast nub but there's no hole. The driver side just has the riser but all I see is the wheel and coil and no hole.

Second picture, right manifold, is where the choke would be. I don't have it in front of me but those marks look like two broken tubes. Some had a plate that screwed to the manifold in that area. To my knowledge pickups did not use the large bosses.

The heat riser is used to send exhaust gases through the intake manifold to warm the incoming air when the motor is cold , when the motor is warm it opens lets exhaust out the tailpipe

tomrooster - there's nothing there from the riser to run to the intake. It's just the weighted wheel and coil from what I can see. So it just blocks exhaust gases from what I can tell. Do you know if there would be a port at it somewhere?

Seems to me (and that's not saying much) there ought to be a tube there to port those gasses until it fully opens up. Right now, in my head, it seems like it just chokes off that bank of the motor.

Tomrooster explained the valve correctly. The heat from the exhaust expands the coil to open the valve. The small spring pulls on the off set pin. On a separate function and separate manifold, the carburetor pulls hot air through the tube from the passenger exhaust manifold.
