1962 4x4 cab

Post by aamotox »

I have '62 F100 4x4. The truck has been in the woods for 15 years and pretty much all of the sheet metal is a disaster. I learned through this forum that the 4x4 cab was different than the 2wd. What are my chances of finding a 4x4 cab in decent shape? Where is the best place to look?

Thanks.

See link below, it will spell out which cabs will work:) And there are more than you were expecting!

and BTW: You did not spell out weather your truck was an F100, 250, or 350....

I'm from Arnold, MD. I little story about this truck. My dad worked with the guy that bought this truck new. My dad took him to pick it up and he was scared to drive it home so my dad drove it for him. He lived down the street from us and when he sold his property he called dad and said if you want that truck, come and get it. So I have a neat connection to this truck and it was free. I've had it for 20 years and finally have the experience and money to restore it. It has unfortunately deteriorated even more since I've had it. I don't think much of the sheet metal is salvageable.

depends on how correct you want to be
2wd cabs 61-64 work fine and are pretty easy to find they just dont have the battery hole in the floor although the stamping is there and can be cut out
