Hello All, I'm certainly glad to have found this site. I can tell already it's going to be a great resource.

Last month I brought home a '65 F100 swb that has not run in 30 years. The upsides are it is a straight, original, mostly rust-free Arizona truck. The downsides are a little rust under the cab and a bed that is definitely rusty with probably a dozen holes 1/4-1/2" in diameter. It will also need an engine overhaul.

The truck has an interesting history, having been used by a fire chief of a volunteer fire department in a small town outside of Phoenix, AZ. It still had some emergency lights in the grill and back window along with a siren and train horns under the hood.

I will post some specific questions on the board and will hopefully figure out how to post pics.

welcome.gif David! You may think your truck has big troubles, but that's only because you're not from Alberta, or the eastern seaboard:)

Looks like a pretty good place to start to me!

Good luck with your project!!

Welcome from N.W. Ohio. When you start going thru the projects and build section you'll see how good the shape is on your truck. It looks really good from here.
