General discussion on headers

Post by orangeRcode »

Been looking around at headers again. It appears that both the Sanderson FF390 and FF427 will fit my FE based engine. I don't know if you can always trust the pics with the ad so I thought I would ask the sage old brothers & sisters herein.

Is the FF390 a shorty and the FF427 more of a mid length shorty? What have you used and had good results with?

Discuss :burp:

Sanderson FE427 headers, uncoated (bought them uncoated because I was pretty sure I would be putting some dents in them to clear everything on the IC/Dakota front suspension setup, I did). Absolutely a shorty header and not a mid length. Here's some mock-up pics. Will be glad to get anything you want for pics. Let me know.

It appears the FF390 are for car applications. https://www.google.com/search?q=FF390+h ... rYmugAM%3A

The FF427 are a bit longer and for trucks. https://www.google.com/search?q=FF390+h ... myuzzVM%3A

I have the coated FF427 in my 66/390FE with stock front end and they fit very well. I'd send pics, but my engine is out at the moment.
