Slick 1 Ton To Dodge Wheels

Post by chris401 »

I am going to look at a 1973 Dodge 12,000 gvw motor home Friday. I remember these wheels fit old Fords. What are the measurements needed to fit a Ford axle?

My '64 has 5 x 5 1/2" bolt pattern....the newer Dodge Ram trucks have the same bolt pattern. I had a '55 Dodge 1/2 ton that had 5 x 4 1/2 bolt pattern. I have seen the 17" and 20" (I believe) Dodge wheels installed on the mid 60's Ford trucks with lower profile tires. Everyone has an opinion on that....so I'll leave that part of it alone. Your '65 Ford truck should have 5 x 5 1/2 bolt pattern....then I looked again and saw that your truck is a one ton....so I dunno...

My F-250 is set on the wheels. I was thinking about the larger truck owners wanting to get one piece rims. I knew a couple of guys who mentioned the Dodge wheels. Both gone so I am hoping someone here knows.

Subject line in header of OP's post was Slick 1 Ton.....but just so all the bases are covered:

Slicks:

F100 = 5 bolt, 5.5" BC

F250 = 8 bolt, 6.5" BC

F350 = 6 Bolt, 7.25" BC

Easy to find now, thanks for posting all in one. Was it F-550 that the lug pattern got bigger?
