spot the slick!

Post by shipwrecked »

I was surfing on Facebook--- instead of going out in the garage to work.... :?

anyway- I am a member of a Facebook page regarding USCG Long Range Aids to Navigation Sations (LORAN STATION, or LORSTA). Someone posted these pictures in a bunch dated 1966/1967.
These were taken in LORSTA Sitkanak Alaska.

I did a year tour of duty in LORSTA Port Clarence AK in 2004/2005. We had a white 1996 F350 4x4 (doors held on by cargo straps cause the wind would bend them back towards the hood)
and two brand new dark blue F750's with caterpillar diesel engines. One was a dump truck, and one was a stake bed.
I will see if I can find some photos of my time up there, but I found the slick photos pretty neat.

Anyone else got some old photo's?
The months may change, but I am always APRIL

Those are pretty cool! I used to have a pic of a dentside pickup at a station in Antarctica. I'll see if I can dig it up.
