Hello all!
I've got a running 351W out of a '79 LTD that came with my '61 F100 uni. It's got all the wonderful smog goodies on it and I was looking to convert it over to a good ol' regular 4 barrel V8. I've never de-smoged a motor before. I was hoping to simply swap out the heads, add a 4 barrel intake, a set of headers, and slap on a 600cfm carb. Upon my research many say it will work, many say it won't. Some are saying I'd need a new distributor, all new timing gearing, as well as a new cam. At that point I might just be better off getting a non-smog V8 and call it good. Any of you tried this? Thanks in advance!
De-smoging a 351W, anyone done it?

For a driver, follow your initial plan. Is it injected now?
