73 Lincoln 460 in 64 F100. Need motor mounts

Post by Blue64F100 »

Ok guys, I've done a lot of searching around on here and haven't come up with an answer for a 64 F100. Plenty of 65's, but not 64... I need motor mounts for my 64 F100 that had a 292 in it. I'm putting a 460 Lincoln in it and am striking out on mounts! Help please!

(Note: I got this 460/C6/driveshaft/shifter from a friend's running 64 F100 truck so I have everything I need besides the mounts)

You will either have to use the tubular crossmember style:

or the weld on ears with round cushions:

or weld on mounts:

You will also probably need a tranny mount like this"

No 429/460 stuff bolts directly into a 61-64 truck. You could also just buy a set of motor mounts at your local parts store and fab towers to fit.
