Help finding a wheel

Post by MNTBUGGY »

Since I the bolt pattern ( 5 x 5.5 ) is the same I thought I would see if anyone had one of these laying around!!

I have had this set of Aluminum Spoke wheels on my jeep (66 CJ5 ) for probably close to 25 yrs. I bought them used then. One of them has had a crack in the bead area since I have had it and it has never leaked. I would like to find one to replace this one and use it as a spare. If possible I would like to find two, I have looked locally off and on but I have never found one. Does anyone have one or know where I might find one? It would be greatly appreciated. They are 15 x 7.5 wide and say made in USA on the inside I think they are made by Jackman.

Very rare , I had a chance to buy a whole set several years ago for 50$, but I would not have broken the set to sell one anyway. Will keep an eye out. You might want to post the width you need. Have it checked for being bent before it is shipped to you, although there are places that will straighten the wheels.

The width is 7 .5". I would buy a whole set if the price was right. I like the vintage look.

I live near Wichita and have been going that swap meet since the early 80's. Showing my age ha ha . I keep my eyes open for them but have not had any luck. Even watch e-bay once in awhile. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Actually I had a steel one powder coated this last spring when I thought I was Gona put new tires on it. Planning on new tires this summer so was trying to find some. If I can't find one I will use the steel one for the spare.
I have found a Few before but never in the right size / bolt pattern. Never knew it would be so hard to find a wheel.
Hoping that someone might have one stuffed away in their garage that needed a new home

A good weld shop Can weld the crack. with a die grinder & some buffing it can be as good as new. I did this to a wheel on my 67 mustang. I couldn't one to match. $25 to weld & about 2 hours grinding & buffing.

I have thought about that but it has been that way for 25 yrs now. Mainly looking for 1 wheel for a wheel to replace the cracked one and probably get that one fixed and use it as a spare so I can have a match. But If I cant come up with one I will probably get that one fixed and use the steel one I have powder coated silver.

Just fishing hoping to catch a WHEEL :o
