Heater control valve.

Post by troymn »

My truck didn't have one on when I got it and want to install a manual one. Can I just install one off the hose from the intake? I see the newer trucks have "T" fittings built in the valves. Do I need to add a T also? Thanks guys!

you don't say which engine.
On my 292 yblock v8 I just use the old school valve with the T-handle on top. Check carpenters and Mac's or ebay.
Had one on my 223 - 6 also.
I like mine, can't get much simpler.

I've got an inline valve (cable operated) on my 64, but I just engage it by hand whenever needed. It's the NEXT simplest valve.
