T86 bearing retainer

Post by 62bigwindow »

I'm in the process of gathering parts to convert my car T86 OD to use in my unibody. I have found a NOS truck input shaft. But I'm coming up short trying to find the bearing retainer. Does anyone have one or can supply the part number for it. Thanks

You may be able to use the bearing retainer off of a 3spd. They look to be the same. I have a y-block 3spd and could measure it for you if you do not have one. These are a little more plentiful.

Thanks. I can't believe how hard it is to find one. There seems to be an endless supply of the Ford 3 speeds but not so much of the T86's. One last question. The input shaft I found says it's for a 223. I found another for a yblock. What is the difference between the two?
