Looking for the sheet metal "headliner" corner panel

Post by big jim »

Hey ya'll - I've been searching for an hour or so and can't find anything so I figured I'd post.

I want to put 3 point belts in and noticed this post: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10557

Anyone know where I can find the sheet metal panel that spans the gap between rear window and door? Now I think his is a unibody but I believe i've seen these panels in non-uni trucks, maybe the 61-63?

The panel here where he's installing the third point is what I'm looking for. I think this looks way better than the cardboard and would like to install one if possible. Is a junkyard my only option?

I think later models must have changed to eliminate that sheet metal panel. I'll take a pic tomorrow

For whatever reason my 66 doesn't have the cardboard on the sides. Still has the sheetmetal there though. Could have been removed by a PO I guess?? Why I can't understand?

That was what you call an "Ah ha" moment. My wife used to be a teacher and used to talk about when something clicked and they got it. You got it. No worries, we have all been there.
