Post by SLICKCOLLECTOR »

i have no power going to my gauges. how does the ivr get power to it. i have changed dash panels and some how have no blinking of power going to the gauge wires such as heat sensor or fuel tank orange wire or oil pressure gauge wire. i pulled the dash panel out and get no power to the ivr on the gauge panel. thanks.

It's been a while since I was under my dash, black wire with green tracer from ignition switch...note there is more than one of that color, feeding other key on items (ignition, etc)
(A) terminal on switch....If my memory is worth a darn.

my new/old dash panel is a 67 f550 or so with the 4 gauges. my factory gauge was a printed circuit with no black/green feeding thru the plug. it deadheaded at the plug. the old gauge assembly prior to the printed circuit used that wire. after tracing that thinking i see that wire was unused in 71 but on a 67 dash panel it was still used. i think i have it figured out and will hook it up later today to see if that is correct. thanks. this is on a 71 f100 and i want to chrome the 67 metal dash panel when finished. thanks.
